With the school year coming to a close, many high school students are looking forward to enjoying their time out of school, and for the Class of 2018 Seniors, it is a bittersweet ending to our 13 years at Lake Shore. However, for many seniors that are heading off to college, the end of this road leads to another.

Seniors at Lake Shore are especially thankful for everything that the Lake Shore community has prepared them for as they begin a greater journey, and for Seniors in the Academy of Business and Finance, this journey has just begun. Valedictorian Adam Brzozowiec said, “ I’m thankful for the many different choices that high school has offered me, and the path that I chose through the Academy has allowed me to become college, career, and future ready.” In the fall of 2018, Adam will be attending the University at Tampa as a member of their honors program for a BS in Biochemistry. Another senior, Olivia Pericak who will be attending Mercyhurst for Exercise Science said “The past 4 years have prepared me for college, but I will be really sad to leave all of the great teachers and friends that I have made. With that said, I have never been more excited to go off and study something that I truly enjoy”.

With the school year coming to a close, seniors are especially thankful for everything that this great school district has offered, and that is no different for the faculty. Loving teacher Mrs. Marla Schifano said, “As a former Lake Shore student, a parent of former students, and Business Academy Director, I know first hand that Lake Shore has incredible programs that meet the mission of preparing our students for life after they leave Lake Shore. Congratulations to the Class of 2018!”.

As graduation quickly approaches, from me to you, best wishes to everyone in their future successes!
